Mission
In loving memory of Charlene Story—a devoted mother, teacher, and pillar of our community—Story Community Garden is dedicated to continuing her legacy of love, resilience, and hard work.Charlene believed in the power of growth, not just in plants but in people. With the very seeds she planted, both literally and figuratively, we aim to resurrect and rejuvenate our neighborhood. Through gardening, education, and collaboration, we will cultivate a space where her spirit of nurturing and community thrives, inspiring generations to come.Together, we honor her memory by growing stronger as one community.
How Will The Community Benefit
The Story Community Garden and Jazzi Bee Honey will provide numerous benefits to the local community by offering free access to fresh, local produce, promoting healthy eating, and reducing food insecurity. The garden will serve as a hub for educational opportunities, teaching valuable skills in gardening, sustainable farming, and beekeeping, while fostering environmental sustainability through eco-friendly practices.
